A STORY OF TRANSFORMATION: FROM SELF-DOUBT TO SELF-TRUST
Journal Series: The New Wave INTUITIVE SPIRITUAL Healing Journey — Part 5
Every healing journey carries its own rhythm, its own wisdom, and its own breakthrough moment — the moment where everything shifts. Some transformations are gentle and subtle, unfolding like a sunrise. Others arrive with a deep clarity that changes the entire direction of a person’s life.
This is a true story of a woman who came to me carrying overwhelming levels of self-doubt and an inability to trust herself. Her experience reveals the power of releasing trauma, dissolving false beliefs, and reconnecting with intuition — no matter where the wounds began.
This story is shared with care and sensitivity, and with permission.
When Self-Trust Feels Impossible
She came into the session feeling exhausted. Not physically, but emotionally — worn down from fighting with her own inner world.
No matter how much she planned, reflected, or tried to move forward, something inside her stopped her every time.
She told me:
“I can’t trust myself. I don’t know what’s real. I don’t know what to choose. Everything feels wrong.”
It wasn’t laziness.
It wasn’t fear of failure.
It wasn’t a lack of desire.
It was a deep, internal conflict — the kind that forms when trauma disrupts a person’s relationship with their own intuition, safety, and inner knowing.
The Hidden Trauma Beneath the Surface
As the session unfolded, it became clear that her self-trust issues weren’t simply “mindset problems.”
They were the echo of an old trauma — one that began in childhood, when someone she trusted violated her safety.
At that age, children trust the adults who care for them.
They trust what they’re told.
They trust that they will be protected.
But when trust is broken in such a fundamental way, the child forms beliefs not just about the world, but about themselves:
“I didn’t see it coming — so something must be wrong with me.”
“My intuition failed me.”
“I can’t trust my own feelings.”
“I have to doubt myself to stay safe.”
These beliefs don’t go away on their own.
They become part of the subconscious — shaping adulthood in ways that feel confusing, painful, or unexplainable.
The Missed Intuitive Warning
During the session, an important piece of insight emerged:
In the moment before her trauma, she had actually received a quiet intuitive warning — a subtle feeling, a hesitation, an inner “no.”
But she did what many children do:
She ignored it, because she believed she was safe with the adult in front of her.
This created a lifelong wound:
“If my intuition was wrong then, it could be wrong again now.”
And so she began to distrust every nudge, every instinct, every inner signal — even when they were guiding her toward what was right.
The Message That Shifted Everything
As the layers of trauma and false beliefs began to clear, something powerful came through for her — a message from spirit:
“When you don’t act on your intuition, you are getting it wrong every time.
Start acting on intuition, and you start banking self-trust every time you get it right.”
This message changed everything.
It reframed intuition not as a test she could fail…
but as a practice she could strengthen.
Each intuitive action became a small deposit in the bank of self-trust.
Each moment of listening became a step toward reclaiming her inner authority.
Clearing the Blocks That Held Her Back
Several layers of emotional and energetic residue that had been holding her in a state of fear, conflict, and paralysis was cleared:
the false belief that no one could be trusted
the belief that she couldn’t trust herself
subconscious sabotage patterns
feelings of frustration, jealousy, and helplessness
trauma imprints from childhood
deeper energetic wounds impacting her intuition
These were not conscious choices she had been making.
They were subconscious survival strategies — and they were finally ready to be released.
As the blocks lifted, her system began to settle.
Her intuition started to feel clearer.
Her mind felt quieter.
Her heart felt safer.
The Transformation
By the end of the session, something essential shifted:
She no longer felt disconnected from herself.
She felt reconnected — grounded, present, and aware of her inner voice in a way she hadn’t felt in decades.
Her self-trust didn’t come back all at once.
It came back as a feeling she could finally recognise:
“I can hear myself again.”
From that moment forward, she began practicing intuition with small, daily choices.
Each one building confidence.
Each one strengthening her inner safety.
Each one returning her back to her true self.
This is the power of clearing trauma, beliefs, and emotional residue — the mind stops fighting, the heart opens, and intuition becomes a trustworthy guide again.
